I finally have an allotment for my CT4, with a March 2023 production. I have it spec'ed with virtually every performance option and a few of the "luxury" options. This is the perfect type of build for my taste. Here is the build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PP5XBSV6

My question is whether I will notice the PDCC or if it is a waste of money. I am a fast and aggressive driver and my last two daily drivers were great handling cars: 2014 Cayman S and 1992 BMW M5 wagon. Frankly 90% of the reason I am buying the CT4 is a combined love of wagons and that the Taycan Turbo I test drove handles like no other EV.

Thought from those of you with experience with PDCC?

I haven’t received my car but I did order PDCC. I didnt specifically get it for performance at the limit. I ordered it because PDCC (along with the air suspension) creates a very sophisticated and even more compliant ride. I dont drive at the limit often but I will appreciate the high end ride quality every time I drive it.

I have PDCC on my 2022 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo. It really flattens the car and helps it to drive more like a sports car and less like a 5,000 LB EV. I also have air suspension and rear axle steering. iMHO you should get all of the performance options if you are a driving enthusiast. I have owned several 911’s and currently have a 2022 718 Spyder and I still appreciate my Taycan in the twistiest with the added performance options installed.

Skip it - if you've incorporated RAS & PTV+ that's probably enough given the variant chosen.

Wheel selection is on the small side however.

I have it and I love it.
I don't know how Taycan goes through corners (roundabouts) without PDCC, but I do know how it feels with PDCC - like it's fixed on the road...

I test drove 3 GTS demo cars and none had it. I didn't notice hardly any body roll so decided I would not option it. I have gone for RWS.

Firm "no" to PDCC from me- it might improve ride comfort, though that's good as standard with air suspension, and from an agility point of view I suspect that the tyres would lose grip before any roll became noticeable.

I have it along with all the options on my Turbo S. I didn't have it on my RWD. I really don't notice a difference. I notice the rear wheel steering, the faster acceleration and the air suspension, but not the PDCC.

Truly, thanks for all the replies and thoughts (other than W1NGE musing that the wheels are "on the small side"--which is both off topic and simply wrong for my use [to paraphrase Sir-Mix-A-Lot, I like small wheels, I cannot lie!] and if I wanted bigger wheels I would buy aftermarket, not Porsche's overpriced ones).

Any folks out there who have actual A-B comparison experience?

EDIT: @johnarpy replied as I was writing my reply--thanks for the A-B insight, though I take it the RWD has a different suspense. Is that correct? The CT4 comes with the air suspension (but not the faster acceleration).

Sorry a Taycan on 19" rims is, well, just wrong ;-)

I test drove with and without and ended up speccing it. Many people get it since it can improve the ride in a straight line when it fully disengages both axles. I got it because I could feel (although maybe placebo) the car adjusting the stiffness of each axle to reign in under / oversteer. I think you will only feel any difference if you are fully on it.

GTS variant has its own suspension tune compared to the RWD, 4, 4s (not sure about turbo/turbo s). I didn't get PDCC on my GTS because it has its own tuned suspension and its lovely on twists and turns.
