Seeking advice on Electric Sound

I am new to the forums and read all the great advice

I am just specing out a Taycan 4s

I just wanted advice on the electric sound - does it amplify the sound in and out or just inside

is this something people get tired of quick and it becomes an annoyance or does it sound good and kept in quite often ?
Is it worth it in people’s view on an electric car

Works inside and outside. Gets noticed by pedestrians - both good and cool. Have it, love it, and makes up for not having a flat six!

Maybe something to take into accout, you can add this option afterwards.

I am also interested in it, I'm going to see if I miss sound or not and maybe ask dealer if I can have a testdrive with a car with the sportsound.

Price is identical if you spec it up front or add it afterwards.

I personally didn't take it. Sure, it sounds good, but if I want to listen to music, it would be a nuisance. 1. I always listen to music. 2. I love to be as quiet as a mouse, to accelerate fully without attracting attention. But that's just my opinion.

Are you sure about the price being the same as an initial order and a retrofit afterwards? I read somewhere on this forum that the materials for the retrofit were reasonably priced but that it would also take 7.5 hours of labor, if my memory serves me well. Nogal duur...

I understood it as being the same price. It was one of the items I talked about to the dealer when purchasing a car in their showroom rather than an own configuration. I understood it could be added afterwards at the price of the option (via the connect store I assumed).

Thanks. I did not ask for such a retrofit quote myself (being not to keen on electric sport sound) and therefore defer to other forum members who did ask for a quote.

I thought that it required additional hardware and 10 hours labour to install afterwards? There’s another thread here somewhere. I’d like to be wrong as it didn’t spec it on my build.

this is very incorrect and they have misinformed you. People in the forum have been quoted a lot more than the original price.
I think I saw in the region of £2000 altogether as it’s a 7.5 hour job.

my recommendation is get it now, if you don’t like it, turn it off. The chances are you will probably love it. I have it and it makes the experience a lot more fun.

Thanks - another quick one on the ambient lighting - looks good from what I have seen on other posts but wandered whether the standard light was good enough and lights up all the same areas ?

I was quoted £1300 for retro fit from Porsche Preston. Gutted I should have spec'd it

We have ordered four bespoke Porsche’ since MY2012 - all with every lighting option. None are bright enough for us old farts in any storage area.
