Elon’s charger is juicing my Taycan. Love it. Bracket on the wall holds the connector parallel to the wall so you are less likely to bump into it. Tesla Tap makes it all possible.

See you've gone for the Porsche UK Recommendation - Andersen. I'm looking at them too. I don't suppose you could show a picture of the interior of your garage? Hoping for a tidy finish!
Hope this helps.

Outlet swapped to NEMA 14-50 @ 30Amps yesterday. Charged the (new to me) Taycan from 20% to 100% in about 7.5hrs. I'll evaluate whether I want to bump up to 50 Amps over time.
Mounted the charging unit this evening. Ready to roll now!

Here is another Andersen unit. Very neat. Pick up 4S on Tuesday!

Mounted the PMCC on plywood using the Porsche provided brackets. The plywood is mounted on a cement wall in the garage. We used a NEMA Hubbell 14-50 outlet and ran 6/3 wire to support a future upgrade to a 60A charger if we ever "need" to. Used a hook for hanging the cord from Home Depot. I get about 25 - 28 miles / hour charge rate. Pretty happy with the setup.

I don't suppose any of the people with the Andersen chargers in this thread are also using Octopus Agile's tariff?

If so, I've just been told by their support agents that they do not have their dynamic pricing API working with any providers yet, so you manually have to enter the price per hour/day for each day to make the dynamic pricing work? IMO, that sort of defeats the objective and I'd rather stick it on 12-7AM charging until they have it working, or find another charger (recommendations pls?)...

I’ve installed the mobile charger that came with the 4S in an existing charger box on the garage wall. Fits perfectly, but is slow to charge. I’ve got a single phase 32amp supply, so the best it will charge at is 2.3KW. Charging from 42% to 85% takes about 14 hours. I’ve ordered an Anderson A2 which says it will charge at 7.2KW on our supply and manage a full charge in about 12 hours. I’ll confirm once the A2 has been installed - it’s stuck in a container at a European port at the moment.

Hi Philip
That has to be 7.2kW. Other owners in UK already got 7.2kW with a blue Commando socket and the mobile charger. It would save you alot of money for the Andersen unit plus installation

Is the maximum charge current dialed down in the settings menu of the charger?

Hi Elber. When I set up the mobile charging unit, it was set to the maximium charge rate.

There was a good thread on here entitled 'Home charging in the UK', and I attach a chart that was helpfully posted on that thread. I've got the middle AC set up and this suggests the best I can get is 3.6kW on a single phase supply, but if you change to an Anderson A2 unit, that will take you to 7kW.

No idea if that's correct or not, but I ordered the Anderson on the back of this and the fact it is Porsche approved.
