Will older models get the new push to pass upgrade?

It’s activated by a physical button on the steering wheel, so it’s highly unlikely that it’s coming to existing cars. Will older models get the new push to pass upgrade?
DamnDoes this mean I’m not allowed to pass others in this vehicle?
Don't understand why they simply didn't add a central button to the existing chrono switch as per my Macan (call Sport Response button) than add yet more clutter with a separate dial! It’s activated by a physical button on the steering wheel, so it’s highly unlikely that it’s coming to existing cars.
That's what they did. The second dial is only featured on the Turbo GT for I believe suspension settings.Don't understand why they simply didn't add a central button to the existing chrono switch as per my Macan (call Sport Response button) than add yet more clutter with a separate dial!
If possible, it might require a steering wheel swap. If the price was right and Porsche supported the retrofit, I'd be game. Will older models get the new push to pass upgrade?

It's just a racing term. It's not literally for passing on the freeway. It's about the fun of driving a Porsche. I would take an 80 hp 10 second boost on my 4S any day. Who wouldn't want more power? If you have felt that power boost during Launch Control then you know what it's about. It's what an EV does so well that an ICE car can't.I am on my 3rd Porsche and have never had a problem passing in any of them.
Push to pass on an EV only makes sense if you dont think about it.
True. True. But you know having the same launch control power boost while driving would be fun as hell!My 2020 Turbo has push-to-pass *literally anything* built in to the accelerator pedal
As has been mentioned there's the assignable button on the steering wheel. I don't see Porsche offering it as a free upgrade, but I do see them offering it as a feature on demand. If possible, it might require a steering wheel swap. If the price was right and Porsche supported the retrofit, I'd be game.
