I got the update a couple of days ago. I scrolled down to read the entire text. It was something about improving the "notification concept" regarding battery issues. I just concluded that it is probably a minor update to the battery monitoring software previously rolled out.

It installed in a minute or so and makes no difference whatsoever in daily use. It does not change the PCM version etc. And yes, the navigation is still broken.

In terms of navigation, I just took the car for a 90 min drive using the built in navigation and so far I have not encountered sudden restarts so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it has resolved the navigation issue for me.

I use ChatGPT ( paid subscription). I don't think it is being made up as most information is sourced. Much of it came from the Taycan forum.

Got to love the cyclical nature of disinformation. Ai makes something up, someone posts it here, AI reads it and decides it's the "view of the Taycan community" therefore solid information .... and so on

I did, see my post above. Sounded very minor and not something you will really see as a user.

Did a 2 x 330km drive over christmas and the nav hangs up just as often as before. But according to the update note the update only affects the high voltage control unit anyways so I did not expect anything else to be affected.

Updated, but for now I only had short drives. Didn‘t noticed anything being different.

Maybe they changed it from “battery aged” when a hardware manufacturing defect is detected to “get f*cked”, and as we’re getting closer to 2028 when first warranties run out, a WTS3 to say “ pay up bitch” .

Obviously sarcasm with a pinch of truth.

More than likely just an update to whatever logs they are gathering to detect those defects. So shouldn’t care much about it.

We already know that any significant update that would bring a change to user experience CAN’T be done OTA and needs to be done in service

Successfully OTA updated WST2 today on my J1.1. Also didn‘t noticed anything different.

Same for me. A few hours ago went to wash the car, and the update chime came up.

No noticeable difference after it was completed.
