I now have found my VIN and my build completion date of 2nd May looks to be firm, so I guess it will be going into build soon?

Hi... so you have your VIN already, pre-build? Did you find that on the app or within the "inspect" route online?

Yes - it was somewhere in my MyPorsche ID online profile (I couldn’t see it via the app).

I was told the VIN appears as it rolls off the production line

A quick search suggests that the VIN is allocated just before the cars enters production, but the website / app may take some days to update!

I had my VIN for weeks and weeks and weeks before it moved to phase 4.

Yes it comes up if you click 'Find out current phase' when viewing through a browser.

I've had a VIN for a few weeks but still at stage 3, viewing the source says Produced though.

This morning my order officially changed to stage 4 and if the dealer is still correct, we'll be taking delivery on 17/04.

I think it was like 3 weeks to go to stage 4, but there are some more delays, been in stage 4 for about a month, and was just told that the car is stuck in Emden for another 3-4 weeks.

Absolute insanity they won't let me go and pick it up myself, could have saved us all a lot of time and money.

Any UK customers chosen to buy GAP insurance or wheel / tyre insurance, either from their OPC or from a third party?

I think the insurance policy I’ve chosen has agreed value and new car replacement options for cars under 24 months old, but given the state of our roads (and the width of the Taycan), wheel / tyre insurance is on my radar for the first time ever!

I gave the dealer Gap Insurance a miss and went with ALA for Gap and the tyre/wheel insurance. Hands down better value and ALA seem to get good reviews so I was happy to go with them. Definitely check that the potential policy is going to give you what you want though no matter who you go with.

I haven’t had to use them (thankfully) so no first hand experience of claiming but someone else on here might be able to advise.

Not sure if it’s still running but there was also a 25% discount on offer (for the Gap) from Money Saving Expert? Try MSE25.

Car now at dealership so would have picked up this week. However my new motorhome I am picking up Wednesday down south Doncaster car ordered August motorhome ordered October and come at the same time.

My app is at stage 2.
Told it was mostly built on 28th March
On 13th April was told it only went into production on 29th March
Was told today it is still in production.

I have been sent the VIN though.
