I always have recouperation off.
Braking does regen anyways.
Recoup mode just takes away the times you could have coasted.

Incidentally, for those unfamiliar with the drive modes- Coasting is only the default in Normal and Range modes- switching to Sport or Sport Plus automatically activates Recuperation.

I have pretty well only used Normal mode so far.
The roads around here are far too bad to use stiffer suspension settings and the Range mode has never been necessary.
I look forward to a drive where sport or sport+ would be fun but haven’t been on a suitable road yet.
:(

I assume- though not tried for myself- that you could configure Individual mode to be based on the Sport settings tailored to your preferences- e.g. normal (non-Sport) suspension setting, recuperation off, etc.
On a related note, how are you finding PDCC- is it enhancing comfort as you'd expected? I suppose it's difficult to judge without a non-PDCC reference. I was very impressed with the ride of the 2 PDCC cars (with 21" wheels- my own car has 20" and no PDCC) I recently drove at Silverstone- then again, I don't recall too many potholes ?

As you note without direct comparison, impossible to say.

What I can say is that if the system effectively disconnects the ARBs when there is no lateral load it will give a better ride, if the ARBs are softer and it preloads them in an anti-roll direction it will be better too.

If it just uses the same ARBs always connected and simply applies an anti-roll torque the ride will be the same, so I don’t see any plausible scenario where it could be a worse ride - unless somebody repealed the laws of physics recently.

I have seen comments it feels stiffer, which make no engineering sense other than perhaps expectation bias.

Well, as said, not auto-recoup. That only takes away coasting when you would have had to hit the brakes anyway. I agree that normal recoup isn’t useful to me for exactly the reason you state (totally subjective of course).

I like to use it as it emulates ICE driving more realistically. I like my cars to slow down when I lift off of the accelerator pedal. The button is right on the steering wheel so easy to turn off if I want to coast. I have noticed one thing though, when using Adaptive Cruise Control it is not active.

Coasting on the highway & recup in traffic. I rarely use the Auto Recup but I should give it a try :)

You have no option. Braking recuperation is not user switchable.

I think you may be referring to overrun recuperation (throttle lift off) which is user controlled (and less effective than braking recuperation).
This is exactly right. The user has no control over regen braking, only the "lift off" accelerator regen.

And I agree that it's pretty much not worth using.

For those of you who drive with overrun recoup off, how do you control the speed of your car say, midway through a turn/onramp/offramp, especially at a decline? How about while approaching a turn? Riding the brake, letting off, then back on the accelerator has got be inefficient for you or perhaps even annoying for your passengers, no? I imagine you'd have more dramatic swings in vehicle weight distribution with overrun recuperation off.

Er, use the brakes...puts more back into the battery than overrun.

I guess we drive responsibly and dont have any drama as you indicate
