So high range and efficiency is possible with today's tech, why VW/Porsche are struggling with their efficiency? Take a Lucid Air and break it to pieces, the Chinese are doing it already :)

Tell me who else will drive to a complete stop? Why such a test? If you know how much you can drive without worrying, then you can plan a route and recharge?‍♂

Nurburgring time? Can’t find it anywhere. I bet it can’t even finish without smoking the brakes or overheating. Not something I would buy. Bet they emphasize streamlining over cooling.

Cool driving features, but who wants to be seen in broad daylight getting in and out of that glorified Buick looking thing???

Between the sedan and the new Gravity, Lucid is setting the art of vehicle exterior design back decades.

I still don't get this excitement around the range or efficiency, especially if you have a Porsche....
I bought a Taycan for the way it drives, it looks, and its fast (enough) charging speed.

The obsession for range is a wrong parameter that journalists (?) put in the head of the customers. And the car makers follow, advertising on that as if it's THE decisive feature when you choose an EV.

I've done 1400km (almost 900 mi) in one day recently, at highway speeds, ie around 100 mph. I planned 6 stops (yes, I plan for such trips), I did 6 stops of 15mn, long enough for a coffee, some food or restrooms. And I enjoyed driving the car these 10hrs, i really enjoyed it.

And by the way, the faster you drive, the more stops you make... but still the faster you arrive to your final destination ;)

If I'd have the summer range in winter it would be enough but for me Taycan becomes unusable in winter especially for long trips to Alps.

100% agree. I'm not a huge road-tripper, and charge nightly at home. So for me, range is not nearly as significant as it is for others. Both Lucid Air and Tesla Model S have more range than Taycan, but the Taycan drives better. There are other pros and cons, obviously, but if driving enjoyment is the most important, "Porsche, there is no substitute."
