I find the titles of some of his videos interesting but they are so poorly edited that I just can’t watch.

We have a ‘23 Taycan GTS with 21” wheels. The very best ranged we’ve achieved is 220 mi, and we’ve never seen better than 200 kW on EA, mostly under 150 kW. Drove San Diego to Montana and back this summer. Have you all road tripped a more performance oriented J1.2 Taycan, and what range can be expected?

one time he, that Kyle guy said on Rivian forums that youtube incentivizes him to monetize his videos by making them longer. i flipped an off switch on his channel ever since.
he and his team are f...g leechers and should get a real jobs!

But what i dont know the answer for is why the OEMs continue to let him "review" the cars. I mean he even had stupid Rolls Royce give him a Spectre to "review". Show me a single sale that occurred as a result of someone watching that video!

I have learned a ton from watching his videos, especially a massive amount about the Taycan and in the last year about the Macan. I have also enjoyed several of his videos about other EV’s. To those who never want to watch them, easy to ignore them. I will keep watching and learning.

And he is obsessed with EV thingies, charging, range, acceleration on a good day, which tends to dominate all things BEVs. That and display size. So i can see why he gets slots on press car schedules (which is not that difficult, honestly).

Beside the scandalously lazy editing, i posit that the BEV generation does not understand cars. Everything less sparse than a Tesla is deemed luxury, range dominates the whole experience, and gimmicks on a super large screen are supposed to save you from boredom.

Contrast this with videos by Chris Harris or Henry Catchpole, where you get the sense that these guys understand cars. Not as devices to move a battery pack from station to station, but as objects of desire and elation.

I read that the Cybertruck did the Cannonball run faster than a Taycan, while also towing a Taycan…although closer inspection revealed they only actually made it to Kansas.
