What numbers are people typically seeing? Trying to figure out what good looks like.
I have a 2020 4S with Performance Battery.

Did you get it!? Are you loving it?

I'm a fan of "MPG" metrics, so I switched to mi/kWh and have seen a 2.6 average since getting my 4CT 5 weeks ago. It has been cold here in Ohio, probably similar to you in CT. That would convert to roughly 385 wh/100mi I think (1/2.6x1000) -- but feel free to double check my math.

Prior owner's 34k miles had a 4.2 mi/kwh average, which is 238 wh/100mi!! But they were down in Atlanta where it never gets that cold. I'm expecting summer to be closer to 3.0 mi/kWh (333 wh/100mi) and the winter could show many days in the 2.3 to 2.4 range (435 wh/100mi) as it typical below freezing. YRMV!

Keep in mind that the total lifetime consumption number is not accurate (on the trip display or app). Mine says 3.4. After 14K miles, I’ve never once had consumption that low. My averages are 2.3-2.4 in winter. 2.7-3 in summer.

Yes, I’m loving it. Arrived last night. Was so filthy from transport that it looked like it had a matte wrap!
Washed it this AM and looks great.

Today’s driving was limited but I think it was around 42kWh/100. App shows average 2.7 mi/kWh. Yes, cold here in CT this week.

Range was very accurate. Started showing 227 miles. Drove 51 miles. Range showing 178.

>3 is good and > 3.6 awesome

Best I got with my 4S and PB+ was 3.2 in summer

My GTS ST 2.8.

Yes my lifetime average shows 4.0. It's never been that good. I'm curious as to why the lifetime average is so wrong.

My theory is the consumption shown in the app is based on electricity dispensed to the electric motors, ie pure driving efficiency. Energy expended on heating (the next largest consumer) or anything else does not appear to be included in the calculation.

Impressively you mean, right?
Both impressive and shocking! The EPA spec on the Taycan of ~80 MPGe works out to 2.4 mi/kwh. A number as high as 4 is way off the charts (on the good side). If that high number (4mi/kwh) is based on the incorrect value that the system is recording, then that solves it.

When I am driving in optimum conditions in range mode and very efficiently, I might see 2.9-3.0. As I said, normal is far lower and more in line with the EPA quoted 2.4.
