My friends, looking to see if anyone experiencing this since I never had this issue on any other cars as far as leather wheel resiliency. For example, my 2020 Cayenne and 2024 Macan have much better leather on the wheel. My plan is to replace it with Race-tex Tequipment wheel since replacing with another leather one will not last even one swipe.

I do not use Comfort Entry where the wheel goes up and maybe I should, but my daily work attire is just a pair of jeans and I am very aware to exit/entry carefully. Also, to me it is hard to believe that I would make these kinds of marks, so I suspect my PPF shop or dealer actually damaging my wheel as some of the marks appear to be made by some extreme pressure or jewelry rings, that I do not have, but only on the bottom and close to 8 o'clock which is the area you hit when you get in.

I have followed all the potential issues with having the Race-tex material on the wheel, but I have no choice if I do not want to drive with a scuffed wheel, that does bother me. Also, I saw several YT videos and the drivers also have their leather wheels scuffed really badly at the bottom like I am. The question is, would Race-tex also can get scuffed as I also saw that on YT videos.

My CPO came with a Race-Tex wheel that almost caused me to pass on it... I thought it felt weird and slippery. It's grown on me and I really like it now.

No issues like you show on my Race-Tex wheel but it's only been 3 months (I do use comfort entry for what it's worth). I have had scuffs like you show on previous cars with a leather (or synthetic) wheel.

That looks like a finger nail or sharp edge on a ring is scuffing the leather.

Never had this issue.

Huh. I had this exact same issue. Deep scuff on the bottom of my leather wheel. I have no idea what possibly could’ve caused it. I’ve never had this in any other car either. I have no rings. I only wear an Apple Watch. I am in slacks 5 of 7 days so nothing I can think of that can scratch it. Only thing that comes to mind is a particular jacket, where the zippers are a bit bulky. But really? That can gouge the wheel? Like I said - never seen this in other cars but chalked it to some accident one day.

I am glad you are confirming this as I cannot figure out what would do that much damage to my wheel being totally aware of my car and inspecting it during every wash that I do myself. As a result, I am going for the Race-tex wheel swap. Suncoast has 2 of them ready to order for some unreal price and they also come with a Race-tex key pouch, but my dealer is just too good to me and they will match the wheel cost and would give me discounted labor and while I would like another Race-tex key pouch that would not swing me.

When getting in and out, it’s easy to scuff the steering wheel with a belt buckle or even jewelry. My OPC has left some minor scuffs on my steering wheel that way. I do a minor repair every few months.

All it takes is one valet or one service tech rubbing it wrong on ingress/egress. It cannot be avoided.
