Cant at least one of you put me off. I had pretty much put my mind to rest, now I am thinking about it again :CWL:
Can you take one for an extended test drive? Also, make sure the one you test as rear wheel steering and possibly PDCC. Although some very experience drivers don’t like that as much for some reason, for me it was a revelation.

You did a pretty good job of trying to convince yourself not to get the Taycan. I did a very similar exercise in March, and, based on my experience, the fact that you are still posting here tells me that your effort, while valiant, will fail to hold. I pretty much lasted another week, and I put down my deposit. Now I drive a Taycan that looks a lot like yours. Let me assure you: You will absolutely love it!

Really nice.

I would recommend adding these with this config, all relatively inexpensive:
Side Window Trims in Black (high-gloss) (£245.00)
Door Sill Guards brushed Aluminium in Black (£0.00)
Storage package (£ 168.00) - gives you somewhere to put your phone under the climate control panel.

Surround View and the non-Innodrive cruise control are probably a good idea but quite £.
Sports sound and Ambient lighting both seem ridiculous but are awesome in person.

I go through a similar process with every Porsche I buy.

1. Test Drive
2. Not that impressed
3. Look at how silly some of the options cost
4. Compare how much those options cost on a much cheaper car
5. Realize the Porsche is going to cost as much as a house
6. Convince self not to buy Porsche
7. Keep thinking about Porsche
8. Convince self to buy cheaper, faster car
9. Keep thinking about Porsche
10. Convince self to test drive Porsche one more time
11. Convince wife that this is the Porsche i've always wanted
12. Make several promises about this is the last one, I will make it up to her, etc
13. Buy Porsche
14. Smile

There obviously is also a honeymoon phase with a Porsche, just like any new car. But they keep me smiling more than any other brand (and taking my money).

The really amazing thing is that going through steps 1-13 takes about three days. Then it's over. Step 14 depends on how long it takes to get the car. Then you end up going through steps 1-12 during the time you are waiting!

Can anyone confirm for me that ambient lighting is standard on US MY 2021 cars? If not what is the option called? Thanks.

This sounds familiar. I had sleeping problems for two weeks back in May trying to hold back the Taycan tsunami.

Oh thank god, there are people like me! I genuinely thought I was totally irrational with my thinking process

I will keep you posted :)

Thank you, I will take a look :like:

I'm not sure what unpainted mirror bases will look like with Dolomite Silver. On Gentian Blue they looks fine but on White they look like cheap nasty black plastic (IMO). Ideally you'd want to see how they look in real life if possible.
I hadn't thought about that, will have look.
