Or just mount the bump with one wheel.That's interesting.....makes sense with the wear.
I've got a few of those near where I live, and I have to drive over them, straddled most days.
The council has just (needlessly) put some more up, so I may re-think my route.
My friend had a BMW 1 series and experience the exact same tyre damage and it was down to these speed bumps. He changed to 'taking the bump' with one wheel, and that solved the issue.
