UK order status and delays?

Just collected my Mamba Green RWD from PRG Reading. Excellent service from Simon and it's so nice to do the handover in a separate space rather than in the middle of the main showroom like the last couple of times I took delivery at Reading. Originally ordered Sep 22, exited factory around 9-Feb, entered Sheerness around 3-Mar.

Looks great, so much better with the sculptured ally roof rather than glass!

My production images finally appeared!

It's only been the 18 months since the deposit went down. Last update was it's at the port in Grimsby...Should be picking it up the 1st week in April.

I know there are parts shortages, but I'm expecting wheels by the time it heads North.

Sorry, slightly off topic but how do you get the images of your car being built when in UK?
I have VIN, car assigned to me in MyPorsche and delivery (allegedly) any second but no images.
Is it something dealer has to do?

Thank you was a useful video but I have never had the dropdown menu with my order status.
So accessing the rest impossible. I will talk to dealer on weekend to clarify, but obviously not happy.
As missed out on all those months looking at a partially built car

OMG, maybe I shouldn't have followed your advice, my managed expectations just became less managed. I didn't find any images ( productionImages: null ) but I did find status = PRODUCED and a VIN number. Does this mean...

Yeah, I reckon you're about there.

Mine said that a few weeks back with no pictures and it's only in the last few days the pictures appeared when I checked again.

Might be worth contacting your rep for an update...they should be able to see what the tracking is saying.

I ordered in 7th April 2022 with the intention that my Taycan would arrive for 2023 plate 1st March 2023......

I was then told (after I made a call to the dealer) that my date had been put back to completion 5th April expected collection 21st April.

Called today to make sure that completion of vehicle in Germany was as expected and told that new date 15th May. SA mentioned problem with heater matrix or something.

No call telling me this, service pretty poor when spending £110k on car.

Anyway no choice but to wait it out but very frustrating.

I agree, customer expectations vs customer reality do seem some way apart and sadly all too common an issue. Given its a premium product I do expect a premium service, I don't think that is unreasonable. I wonder if dealers read these forums, we should name and shame.
