No, company year end is Jan.

It's the Financial tax year where it kicks in as far as I'm led to believe.
Don’t think so I’m afraid, you’ll be given a ‘blended’ tax rate for the year. Shouldn’t make a difference when you collect it. Check with your accountant though

We'll check it out.

Have taken advice from the accountant already but can ask again.

Checked with the wife first! She knows more than me. I'm just driving it.

That firm's tax year does indeed tie in with the financial tax year. It's the other one which is January.

That sorts that then. Thanks for the heads up to check.

We’ve not had the best start to the process.
Spoke to one sales person in August 22 and after a couple of weeks, contacted her to get things rolling to find out she’d left.
The guy that took over was difficult to get hold of.
Eventually he came back got things sorted and signed the order form after paying the deposit.
That was Mid September 22. I was told the business manager would be in contact to sort the finances.
Chased again late September and heard nothing since.
Well until yesterday and got the invite to the driver experience, emailed the contact at the dealership today to be told can we come back to the dealership for a meeting with the business manager.
Im guessing nothing has been on and will be surprised if the build order has been sent.
We were told 12 months but estimated Dec 23 but who knows.
Well had a meeting with the sales representative and the business manager, we were relieved to hear our order was in place and we are looking at 1/4 3 of this year for delivery.
A little insight was that if they have allocation they place direct customers into them first before fleet. The sales guy said he hasn’t seen the list but once they have Q2 allocation we maybe brought up the list and potentially deliver July 23.
who Knows but at least the order is on the system.

Here it is for you guys.
My company tax year is the calendar year.
I asked my accountant what happens to me in 2023 with the tax rate change on April 5th.
He knows his stuff!
He is a chartered accountant with a Ltd Co. and drives a Taycan!
This is what he said.

“From 1st April, the corporate tax does increase up to a potential 25%. The simplest way to look at it is that the first £50K is at 19%, then anything above that is at a marginal rate of 26.5%, until profits exceed £250K when the rate drops to 25%.

In the year to 31st December 2023, there will be the added complication that the first 3 months on a pro rata basis are all at 19%, and the last 9 months are at the new higher rates again on a pro rata basis.”

Off topic of cars, but the marginal rate is just disgusting. Those ticking past 50k profit suddenly get a higher rate than those (my business included, luckily) who will 'just' pay a flat rate of 25%. Why should someone making less profit that my business pay 26 or more percent?

And as usual, it's those making the most who have the most options. How privileged we are to decide to reduce our company tax bills by buying a luxury EV!

It's the same rate overall
19% of £50k is a £3k saving compared with 25% of £50k
26.5% off the next £200k is ...... £3k more than 25% of £200k
So overall its the same 25% on the first £250k as after
Just the closer you get to £250k profit the more they claw back of the 6% discount on the first £50k
Same as PAYE going over £100k when they claw back your personal tax free allowance

I would have liked to come with better news but unfortunately my salers informed me that Porsche was asking the dealers to announce August/September for deliveries which were scheduled for March. According to him it will be before…but it is no longer in weeks but in months delay to be expected.

My dealer told me today that my car had entered the next stage of production and still due to be completed in a few days time. Delivery end of the month… I will not hold my breath

CT4 ordered late March 22, build allocation mid June 22. Build slipped from early Dec 22 to Feb 23, built 08 Feb, landed Uk 01 March arrived OPC 16 March, collect next week.
Plus using Porsche finance and got 7.9% happy happy happy. Believe you only get good rate if you have had previous quotes for car.

Just collected my Mamba Green RWD from PRG Reading. Excellent service from Simon and it's so nice to do the handover in a separate space rather than in the middle of the main showroom like the last couple of times I took delivery at Reading. Originally ordered Sep 22, exited factory around 9-Feb, entered Sheerness around 3-Mar.
