What’s your Taycan's winter / cold weather range?

With the winter finally set upon us what’s peoples range ? I’m getting around 200 on a full charge with my 4s ct which does make life a tad harder especially if I need to go somewhere ie north east Manchester and back

Hi, I had a 4s (just waiting for my Gts) and pre the software update, I would be getting 200-205 max in cold weather. Never got more than 240 in warm weather.

The cold weather has definitely lowered my range. It’s currently sitting at 186 miles and 90% on the guess o meter. I was regularly getting 240 or more on a full battery in the summer (21 inch wheels, pb+ and no update as yet)

At the moment:

±220 @ 100% on the guess o meter

Based on ±190m @ 85% daily charge target


Nearer 250 @ 100% in summer :)

Ignore the guessometer and review your consumption figures for mi/kWh anything less than 3 on a decent run is not ideal.

Take your consumption number and convert this to actual range. It will be more than the guessometer.

Switch AC to Eco or Eco Plus and rely on seat heating and steering wheel heating to max your range.

Range drive mode will help a little (single motor).

The fact is that range guesstimate in UK when it's cold will be 215 -225 at best before turning a wheel.

Four week old GTS ST showing 227 miles when fully charged but cannot get any more than 197 from it.
My 4s was much better pre Update.

Based on %charge and range remaining mine is also predicting 227 miles. However the consumption in miles/kWh would suggest a lot less although I am mostly doing short runs at the moment.

I have 340 Km with 85% charge 20 inch wheels and 3 degrees outside. That is not bad. But take in account that my heater is broken. Seems to do postive for the range !

Not on a Taycan (yet), but a heavy-ish SUV with ridiculous rear doors made in California led by a tyrannical nut job....

Long term consumption (around 80,000 miles) is around 390 Wh/mile which equates to 2.56 miles / kWh.

Huge difference between winter and summer - summer can often average better than 290 Wh/mile (3.45 miles / kWh). Winter, lots of short trips & stop/start (and towing!) destroy range - average can be worse than 450 Wh/mile (2.22 miles / kWh).
