Like my Tesla s didI don’t understand why it has to be so complicated? When you open the driver door, the seat should just move back automatically and the volume of the music should be lowered. And when I close the door and walk away, the car should just turn off.
I, you simply walk away and hit lock on your key fob or touch the door handle and everything will turn off and lock. I never have use the power button!People leave the car without powering down?! ?
Thats it. I'm out.
Yeah I found this out recently. Started doing it just so that the music blares out when I open the door so people look over.I, you simply walk away and hit lock on your key fob or touch the door handle and everything will turn off and lock. I never have use the power button!
I thought there was a way to turn that off. I like it but now you have me curious. I will have to check next time I am in the car. I turn it off before leaving as I like that the steering wheels moves out of the way and seat moves back. Before exiting a vehicle and walking away I turn off the ignition if it's on. I don't care what new features have been programmed into a car to eliminate my interaction with that process, that's simply the way it's done.
Personally, I don't even care that much for the fact the Taycan turns itself on when I enter with the key. I wish there was a way to disable that "feature". I'm just hopelessly old school.
This depends on how long you wait in between drives. My X isn't driven very much these days and when you get in, it takes forever before it's ready to go. This was not the case when I was driving it daily. Then it's more like you describe: get in and go.When I open that car door the car is awake and ready. I can plug in a Navi address and be underway in < 5 seconds from when I pulled the door handle. The boot time and latency on the Taycan is horrid. And I wonder if that would be less bad, if they coded/figured it out.
Ditto.I use the two Taycan shutdown routines like this:
-If I want to egress with my seat still in my driving position, then I just put it in Park, get out, and lock. The car shuts down nicely. When I unlock it, the seat will move to the Easy Entry position, which for me is usually fine. Or if the terrain near the door is such that I'd really like to put the seat into my driving position, then I push and hold the "1" memory button before entering.
-If I want to exit from the Easy Entry position, then I push and hold the Power button (really it's the Operational Readiness button), open the door, and allow the seat to move into the Easy Entry position, then go through my preferred sequence of egress movements.
