I was on a pretty tight budget so didn’t pay for the premium sound options assuming the standard option would be decent like on my Tesla. A bit disappointed and think I should have got the Bose? I love losing myself in a bit if Avici or similar on a mountain road and it just doesn’t sound that great when you turn it up… Dont suppose there is much I can do now?

I do not know how things work over there but here in the US there are many people who can install custom upgrades for your sound system

I have the standard sound system on my Macan and wondered whether to go standard or Bose on the Taycan. Very sensibly the sales guy told me to come and listen to them. And also booked me for another test drive ?.
The standard system was surprisingly underwhelming. I thought it was less good than my Macan although the SE did suggest that was maybe because I was in the showroom with the windows open. The Bose on the demonstrator was way better. Worth it I think, even though I don’t use it much. Maybe I will use it more!

I am a music lover but don't listen to music much in the car following decades of disappointment losing the quiet bits in the background noise. I stopped buying fancy car audio decades ago, it has been a waste for me.
The Taycan I test drove was much quieter than most cars so I also specced the sound insulating double glazing and went for the Bose.
I thought the Burmester was too expensive for something I may not end up listening to much!
My home stereo cost more than the Taycan and get listened to hours per day.

It is a complete Goldmund system.
I spent 2 years listening to speakers to make my choice and ended up buying their electronics too.
I have a horn system too.

I am wondering if Swissbob could somehow manage to squeeze F1eng's speaker systems into his Taycan to spruce the sound up a bit?
?

Like Kort mentioned, there are car audio specialists.

I posted this in another thread, but this thread is more recent:

I have the Standard Audio System.
The Taycan is my first porsche ever. I couldn't believe that a luxury brand vehicle would have such terrible base audio system.
In my opinion (although I'm not an audiophile), the highs and mids are the only thing that I can hear with the base system. After long discussions with my local/reputable, stereo shop, we're going to start with adding in lows, and expand our way from there to see where needs improving.
I'm adding a JL Amp and 10" slim box subwoofer in my trunk. It'll be mounted to the side wall and only remove 5" of space.
Not sure if anyone else has experience in swapping out the individual speakers. That would be helpful.

I got the standard. I don't own any records or whatever they're called now. I do have spotify (family use) but i've never tried to tune it in to my phone etc. I really just use the car audio to listen to the radio and it seems fine for that.

They are still called records Bob.
Gramaphone records to give them their proper title.

There is always something one can do :) I have the Bose system in my Taycan, while comming from an Audi A7 with the top of the range B&O system (not to be confused with the budget B&O system they use in the e-tron etc.) ....and i sometimes regret not going full Burmester. But...to be honest i must admit i might have a bit of OCD when it comes to sound!

I've already started looking into what can be done to these cars in terms of upgrading the audio in different levels....so stay tuned to this space, and i will report back :)

You wouldnt by any chance live somewhere near where this company is located?

I live half an hour away. What would you like to know (I don't know them)?

You scare me for two reasons: a) I'm afraid of being infected in a bottomless pit of costly upgrades (I have Bose too) b) these are Swiss solutions. I better buy a Burm 911mk3, put it on the center arm rest and save some money too :)
