any one claiming that they 280 miles in a 4s is hard to believe
I did 244 over 84%.

280 doesn’t seem that hard in the summer.

I agree. I got 280+ doing long distance cruising on the highway during the summer.
I've also gotten a consistent 260 miles at 100% when I've got the Yakima exo box mounted on billy bars plus the car full of gear. It all depends on how you drive. Same in an ICE car.

My Taycan RWD is 3 weeks old and 1600 miles done. Did one road-trip of 400 miles and the rest are mix of highway and streets. I see 215 for 100% and 195 to 200 when I keep 90%
I’m have been wondering if this will get better as the Porsche center asked me to wait till 1800 miles until I see a change… not sure if that’s true but I have been driving like a maniac too.

0 launch control as I could not trigger the LC for some reason.

Take heart, as my 4S steadily improved range. Am at 250 miles now, with 100% charges showing +/- 280. Doubt I yield that much as no open road travels yet. Plus I admit to heavy foot. I have an old pickup for slower transport! 😂

Range mode on the 4S turns the car into front wheel drive under low accelerator settings. The range is increased considerably when decoupling the rear motor. Very useful for long trips.
Since the major software update this no longer holds true.

Range drive mode remains predominantly RWD at all times and as a consequence impact on range is a few miles and more to do with switching AC to Eco mode.

Observe the animated display under Trip.

From new with a 4S perf battery delivered 100% 198 miles
now 2000 miles in I’m at 268m for 100% charge
mostly sensible driving initially mix of local and 1 1000m road trip no special settings just running the car on normal and using the toys
seems to just get better for me now happy with the range
oh and only 2 full. Launch control moments so far :)
That's impressive. I live in Scotland too and have had my car over 2 years now. This time of year 185 miles at 85% and 220 miles at 100%. PB+ too.

What is your total consumption mi/kW?

hi

Tropical south Ayrshire maybe helps 😄 Total after 7500 miles is averaging 3.2m/kw
on the rangeometer I get about 220 on 100% in the summer was between 260/270
it did drop after the software update but that was just as the temp started to drop so not sure how much that effected it but as many have said the Rangeometer is not the most important and I’m quite happy with 3.2m /kw

Ok so your consumption is slightly higher than mine - 3.3 mi/kW - so logically I could infer my guessometer is much more conservative but overall range is around 259 miles.

Ideally we should be aiming for around 3.6 to get anywhere near Porsche's jackenory claimed range.

In UK, used 4s with battery +: Did a 100 mile run today 100% charge had shown 240 miles.
Mostly in Range mode 65 on motor way. Few A roads. Probably just about would have managed 240 miles max.
Heaters on, heated seats on. How do you re - set the consumption meter to start from scratch?

CT4 with 5K miles over 3 months and I have only been getting 190 miles on 85% soc consistently :( I'm in the northeast US so hoping the warmer weather will give me a bump. Would be good to see it go to at least 250 miles at 100%.
