Sorry to be here bringing bad news - but from my conversation with Porsche/VW, the delays are supposedly getting worse, so for those who are not far in the delivery process, figure +30 days just to be safe. Unfortunately, there isn't much anyone can do about it - but hopefully it gets worked out by end of Q4 or early 2022.

Really good. Steel springs are much smoother than I thought. The launch is not face bending but general acceleration is PLENTY for 'normal' day to day driving...

Turning circle is rubbish, not too much of an issue up here we have plenty of space but would think if I lived in a city again then would option the rear axle steering.

Bose sound is OK. Not as good as I hoped.

Damn fine lookin' car, real head turner.
Small update.

Put it into sports mode and the drive becomes a whole lot more fun. Really is a big difference!

And the sound gets much better when streaming Spotify from the phone. For some reason DAB sounds flat, especially compared to previous car (E class + Burmeister)

The surround option on the Bose does have a positive effect.

Just heard from my dealer. Original order 12/2020 excited factory on 20/07 but held up due to semi conductor shortages. Factories now on annual break so production completion won’t be until beginning of September at the earliest!

According to my salesman, the factory is not closed.
My car left the line on July 22 without chips for TPM.
As I wrote before, they refused delivery until it’s completed….and today, it’s ready for transport.

I ordered my 4s in December. Original due May. Build finally completed on 20/07 I got all excited to find out today it’s held in a backlog due to no chips. No idea when it will arrive. Very frustrating!
California here: My dealer placed an order on May 11. Porsche cancelled the order on June 1 “because of the change to MY22”. New order placed June 28. Delivery now predicted for December instead of October …

2 weeks ago my dealership emailed me to say my 4S (ordered Dec 2020) was built and in transit to the UK.
I then received an email today saying that the IT systems were totally wrong and it hasn’t even been built yet let alone being shipped over.
Anyone else been given this excuse ?

Hi all. Question for those who have taken Delivery recently- when did you order?

I ordered 4S late December and just been shunted to late August (from an original late April date)

thanks
Just been let down by Porsche again - I ordered my 4S in mid-Dec 2020, with a due date of April. Since then had 7 different production dates. Finally, an email 2 weeks ago saying car built and being shipped to the UK. Then had an email from the d/ship yesterday saying that Porsche's online IT systems weren't correct and that the car hadn't even built yet let alone in transit. Not holding out much hope of getting the car till late Sept at the earliest.

My Taycan is finally here. I went to view her today, and she’s stunning. More shots on the Frozen Blue club. I’ll post more once I have the showroom reveal.

I thought I had viewed every color/wheel combo on the configurator but I missed this one. Very unique and very nice!

Does anyone know if dealer has any influence on which orders get put into production and which ones get delayed. Or is it purely a question of “computer says no” whenever they look at the Porsche scheduling?

The dealer has no influence on the factory scheduling. Their influence is limited to which order they send to the factory first…
