I was about to dispute your claim as the pic was showing charging on the slow port (which ionity doesn't have) but then I realized you're UK so the high speed charge port is on the wrong side ?

Glad you enjoy reliable high speed charging ?

My one experience to date with IONITY was faultless.

Onlong trips there are many Ionity stations in Europe. They all work well but in busy times can have some queues. They normal function as they should with 270 kW going into the car. Make sure you have the chargers properly programmed as stopovers. Normally the car will receive multiple map updates and install them. If you only use the built in navigation you may find you are directed to a non Ionity charger with max 50 kW (in worst case). Also prepare your route and have all the Ionity chargers saved as favourites.

Fastned also works a treat and they support Plug and Charge, even if your car does not have that on Ionity.

Through France from Calais to the Italian border I think there are HPC chargers every 50 to 75 km’s. Not all of them are working with the Porsche Charging card though so be observant.

If you are travelling country roads, Lidl seem to have installed a lot of chargers between 50 to 150 kw, which can be accessed at a low price with ChargePoint, card or app.
Have a great trip!

Does indeed, but Fastned's Autocharge bills you back to their sub / at their rates, rather than via the PCS service / PCS rates etc.

I have used the IONITY chargers a few times in Switzerland, latest this afternoon while coming back from Germany, and I never experienced an issue. They are bloody quick, we went in for an ice cream and when back it was fully charged to 85% :like:

Yeah by the time I walked over to the cafe I ordered a coffee sat down checked my app & it was at 70% by the time I walked back it was at 93% you really can’t complain at the speed of IONITY & it’s plug and Charge

My car is Generation 1 and did not come with Plug and Charge. Something with a certificate or similar. Not an issue since it mostly works great with card or app. And if you leave the car at full charge levels it becomes a (positive) stress factor! ??

I agree - Just got back from a three week trip through France and Spain and Ionity worked perfectly every time. Sometimes had to use the porsche card as plug & charge did not always work. Had problems in Spain with the latest Iberdrola stations not connecting with either card or app although the older stations worked seamlessly. Very impressed with Ionity and French set up. Spain was not quite so easy but always managed to find a fast charger that worked eventually.

hmmm... I use the one at Cobham services often and rarely do I ever get more than 100kw/h out of it, even if my car is set to stop there. I've found the same at Cambridge services too on the few occasions I've stopped there. In almost a year's ownership, I can count on one hand the number of times I've had over 150kw/h. I just assumed there is some throttling going on dependent on how busy the charging points are but it doesn't seem consistent.

I have charged at both these chargers multiple times and got rates over 250 kW. If the station is very busy it seems they can be limiting the power, but 100 kW sounds far too low. Did you have your battery properly preheated at the time and was the station busy?

If I've stopped at the either then it has been programmed as a charging stop in my navigation planner, so yes, I would expect it to be preheated.

I think I have only once got 250kw at Cobham. It's always busy when I'm there so maybe that's the issue?

Two questions please:
First; is plug and charge something that recognises your vehicle without having to use the Porsche RFID card or the MyPorsche App?
Second; Does the RFID card only work with the Porsche or could you charge another electric vehicle at the favourable Porsche rate by using your Porsche RFID card?
