This post frustrates me. Not so much because the nearest Magic Dock-enabled Supercharger is 450 miles away but because Chargey isn't available on Android. Jealous.
Sorry, I'm more inclined to buy you an iPhone than to port it to Android. :)

I am 90% sure however that when I switch driving modes after getting into the car, it lowers immediately. I remember hitting the front lip existing a parking lot once, which I know I lifted the car to get into, so the only thing I could think of was I instinctually changed the drive mode to SPORT as I got into the car, not considering that it would lower the suspension.
Tested and confirmed. I parked my car in lift mode. Upon restarting it stayed in lift mode until I switched mode to "sport". As soon as I switched modes the car lowered itself. This is not an issue for me since I just drive away in lift mode but for anyone in the habit of switching modes immediately before driving away... you've been warned.

I set lift mode to be memorized at a hiking trailhead today -- nice feature!
I'll also set it for various ski area parking lots that are kinda rough.
Next time I visit a Magic Dock, I'll also set it for there, so that I'll be ready to nose in a little more aggressively.

WTF! I was across the street at the EA in the Sam’s club lot yesterday. None of the EA stations working. I ripped it from Austin to FW with 17 miles left so I had to make the EA work (which eventually after several resets it did).

I did not know a magic dock was across the street or I would have gone over there and saved myself 30 minutes and the frustration.

A word of warning, auto lift is associated with driving mode. So if you memorize it in NORMAL, it will not automatically lift if you come back in SPORT, RANGE, SPORT PLUS, or INDIVIDUAL. Porsche logic, don't ask me to explain it. Guess how I learned it. ;)

Download the Tesla app and register for an account. Then click on “Charge your non-Tesla” and the app will display Magic Dock equipped Superchargers near your location if there are any…

Ugh, that is super annoying!
(Although glad you told me, thanks, since otherwise I might have concluded that it doesn’t work.)
I suppose the workaround is to set in whatever mode I’m in, then go into the two other modes I often use and set it again.

this mirror's my experience with both EA and MagicDock Tesla Superchargers…sorry for your original troubles, but glad you got it resolved - the pre-conditioning thing is an issue…

the fastest charge I've gotten with a Tesla Magicdock is 142 kW…but it settles into 132-136 kW for the majority of the session at my local supercharger (Scotts Valley, CA)
What app do you use Dave? My daughter is in SV so I’d like to try it as well when I’m down there.

I just stopped saving auto-lift locations and instead lift it manually every time. I started doing this before I figured out why it works sometimes and not others (different drive mode) - I just attributed it to Porsche software quality, consistent with other Porsche software flaky behavior such as PCM going into fake privacy mode whenever I travel, etc. Even though I eventually figured out the tie between drive mode and gps saved location, I just don't trust it anymore after getting burned initially.

Btw, for more cognitive dissonance, if you have a driveway for which you need to lift, and you saved the lift point in Sport Mode, after you park the car and come back to it, the car is likely still in lift but drive mode is back to Normal. All of this could be brain dead simple - GPS based lift independent of drive mode (you can still gate it with max speed of course), drive mode and lift height which persist across parking/car-off. In my head I still cannot decide whether Porsche intentionally screwed this up (i.e. they think this is the right way), was making it easy to use beyond the design capabilities of their engineering teams (lack of software skills, unable to get all the ECU teams to cooperate, etc), or did they just never design the UX in the first place and it just happened to result in the way it operates today. I tend to lean towards the latter, but still wonder.

I have the Tesla app and have it set up for charging non-Teslas, but I'm not seeing a way to search or sort by Magic Dock equipped Superchargers. Is that possible?

if you tap on "charge your non-Telsa" the next screen _IS_ the map/search - magicDock enabled sites will show up as a "Red" map-pins like the one listed below in Scotts Valley - you can pin/zoom the map to find other locations or use the search field…

[...] In my head I still cannot decide whether Porsche intentionally screwed this up (i.e. they think this is the right way) [...]
Reminds me of this recent aside:
https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2025-porsche-macan-ev-prototype-first-drive-review/
"Speaking with several Porsche engineers about this over the course of the day, not only were they annoyed by our questions (and truthfully on this drive, basically any question at all) [...]"

So back to the Lift issue, when I returned to the same hiking trailhead yesterday, since I was in Normal drive mode (which I almost always am when I get back into local driving), I was pleased that the Taycan lifted itself.
Even though of course going through the menu would not have been a big deal, since by definition Lift mode is at low speeds.
But aside from that, 99.99999% of the value of Lift mode is the actual Lift, so the automated aspect is cute yet hardly essential.

Except upon driving home, I noticed that I had lost all my music favorites, my music screen layout, my navigation favorites, and my icons layout.
HomeLink and Individual drive mode settings were still there.
And yes, I was still logged in with my ID.

Although the auto high beams functioned perfectly.
(I don't understand the criticisms in the other thread?)

Upon starting up the car today out of curiosity, everything was restored.
Oh well, same Sporadically Disappearing Favorites problem with my A6 Allroad, I can live with it!
Especially since my ~3,000 miles so far have made for such pleasurable driving, and at any speeds too.

I have tried this, but I find that the car lowers itself whenever you change drive modes without respect to whether you have previously sought to save lift in the other mode.

I enter my parking garage every day in individual mode with memory lift. When I return to the car, it automatically starts in normal mode and promptly lowers the car even if I seek immediately to put it back in individual mode. And yes, I have also saved the location as lift in normal mode, so the Porsche System seems to always lower to the default height of any driving mode you select without regard to whether you are in a saved lift location for the beginning and/or end drive mode.
