Actually the AL Priority is the leading LIDAR and has been for years. Escort will probably be ok if you’re not up against newer lidar handsets. You need to read up on enthusiast reviews that are doing field tests. Those are your best source of information. The forum posted above is one of the best I’ve seen.
Thanks for the info. I'll look into integrating the AL with the 360. The advantage I've got with the ZW5 is they are about 5 miles from where I work.

Unless I'm missing something, the Escort 360 and ZW5 are by far the best combination of laser jammer and radar detector for hardwired installation. If I'm wrong, let me know where the reviews are that say otherwise. The reviews you're referring to are purely radar detection, and they don't look at hardwired pairings of jammers/detectors, which you'll need to have if you want the noise cancelling glass on the Taycan.
The 360 does not have a small remote?.......just the large head unit?

Bump on this topic........ignition-on power sources?
I finished mine today. I used a mirrortap cable and followed these steps: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/dash-cams.816/page-2#post-22269

It’s pretty much spot on including the wires that you use for power. Getting the front cover against the window off was very hard and it has two little clips that can easily break so be careful.

The front piece (bigger one that touches the section that houses the front reading lights) needs a little bit of help to unclip by moving it straight forward towards the window. NOT DOWN!! There are basically only two clips keeping it in place together with two guides at the very top. Then you have to unclip the rubber piece once its unclipped. That part makes sense once the clips release.

Other than struggling with the front cover of the mirror it went well. I eventually used a sharp trim piece to unclip it. A friend of mind broke his one clip on his 911, so again, be very careful and dont force it.

I hope this helps.

You should check out the reviews on the brand new V1 Gen 2 that was recently released. In addition, there is a new detector scheduled to be released later this year by Radenso called the Theia which will use AI to truly differentiate between police radar and things like Blind Spot Monitors. I have V1s, Escorts and a Radenso Pro M. The Escorts have great range but false way too much with the BSMs. My Radenso Pro M is very silent on falses and the software and camera databases are continuously updated for free. The new V1 Gen 2 looks like a real contender. Check out rdforums.org for reviews on all the latest radar detectors and laser jammers.
Yes, the latest V1 Gen2 has more sensitivity/range, and I've had a V1 for some 20 years, but the false alarms just drove me nuts. The lack of GPS is a dealbreaker for me, since it ended up being so annoying I just turned the volume off and got an escort to put alongside it. The Escort doesn't have quite the range/sensitivity, but I don't think the difference is meaningful, and the complete lack of false alarms every time I drive past the Kroger etc... is enough for me to go with the Escort. They are also made here in Cincinnati just down the road, so customer service is great...

@pkkaiser Are you using something now? I just spoke with Escort yesterday because I ordered the thermal glass and they asked how the glass was manufactured...tinted or metal fiber, which will effect performance.

Here's a video of a very impressive installation of a Radenso radar and AL Priority laser system in a Taycan. Love the custom modification to the overhead panel to house the controls. The installer (Automods) is based in Sarasota, Florida, so if this is your car please DM me as I have been thinking about bringing my car to them and want to hear about your experience.

This looks great! As someone who did my own install on an M5 years ago, I can attest to the amount of work that goes into a proper installation. The ability to fabricate brackets and housings really is what sets one installer apart from a lot of the other guys. The thing that sucks about the Taycan is the placement of the heads and the height of the car creates a problem for the TX sensor.

The installer did say they can't do TX sensor on the front of Taycan, only in the back. But I'm considering doing the radar/laser in front and only radar in back. The interior of the Taycan makes it really difficult to place the control unit, so the overhead custom bracket is impressive. Is it a mistake to not do laser in rear?

Getting the Escort Max 360 CI laser jammer and radar detector installed front and rear with the display in the rear view mirror. I'll post pics when done

Laser in the rear really depends on what the PD does in Florida as far as aiming at front (much more common in most states) or rear (including from overpasses). I decided to pass on installing laser shifters on my Taycan because in Georgia the Dragon Eye lasers are very common. WIthout the TX head the Dragon Eye is very hard to jam.

Escort Max 360 CI with latest updates will jam Dragon Eye very well - report from customer driving through Atlanta, where Dragon Eye is manufactured.

I'd be curious to see what's changed as historically Escort has not done well against DragonEye. ALP has always tested the best against it by a large margin. It's also important to note that using laser has skill (I've used them for testing). At distance getting a read isn't always the easiest and the type of car makes a huge difference as headlight shape and front plate placement makes a big difference. This is why I trust testing groups more than 'in the wild' reports b/c you never know if it's just the police officer just nabbed another target rather than trying to get a better read on you.

I actually don't really care about radar in the back but in my area I've been hit in the rear by laser. Laser is more pin-pointed in the rear because it's typically from passing them and they zap you as you pass meaning your distance from the gun is closer which means the diameter of the laser beam itself is tighter. Translating that into install words, the proximity of your heads need to be more precise to cover as best you can the target areas which are usually rear lights and license plate. Given the funky ass end the Porsche bodies maybe the lights aren't a big deal leaving the exposure only the rear plate? If that's the case a single head is all you need. That install though flipped the reflectors into heads which may not even be necessary if you also got rid of the reflectors.

After thinking through it again they have three heads on the front but no front plate. That middle head really isn't doing anything without a license plate. The headlights are the obvious target and the best you can do there is the lower air duct. I guess what I'm saying is as I think through this, since we can't do TX heads on the front, the Taycan may be good with a 3 head setup... two in the front and one in the rear.

All good but.......if no Auto-dim mirror up there, no power I assume.
Where else can a guy go?
