What’s the classiest colour?

Generally I would agree with you that silver is an understated color. However, the Taycan gets a lot of attention in light colors like silver, white, and chalk, for the very reason you just stated; details are lost in dark colors. This might be a good thing for someone who doesn't want their car to be "out there" on the street.

Dolomite Silver will surely turn heads—whether you like it or not ?

Yep, what he said. looks stunning in this colour. People stop to look at it a lot, kids taking selfies with it..................

Only other colour I would have is Ice Metallic Grey.

While I’m a Neptune guy. Here is a outdoor comparison of Chalk(crayon) outside and ice grey. The crayon is ok but can look a like beige in cloudy weather. Ice grey is white grey but has blue undertones in sunlight

I’d say “classy” on Taycan = Black, V. grey, Mahogany and either of the 20” rims are more a classy look.

I’d say “flashy” specifically on the Taycan (def not on most cars) = White, Chalk, Mamba, Neptune and either of the 21” rims.

Other colors in between.

I'm mildly biased towards the Volcano Grey as something that's subtle but still looks good (especially in the sunshine - it's a bit dull in the typical overcast British skies.) Black is also a good choice for subtlety.

I'd suggest that if you have a dealership within a reasonable distance that you do pay them a visit and have a look at the colours in person.

Agree, here's mine in the showroom, looks like pure white, but outside it has a more elegant subdued light gray shade.

Ordered a 4s CT (mid August delivery apparently) and although my missus loves the car, she doesn’t’ like being seen as a “poser”, so wants me to avoid the more “out there” colours and go for something classy.
what do the experts out there recommend for the colour (s) that fit the bill? ??

Red- not too many around. Looks great in the brighter sunshine and darker days. Clean looks amazing, dirty still looks amazing (I hate marking out the number plate as it ruins the lines)

It's obviously very subjective but, what the heck, I'll just spit it out anyway: Dolomite Silver of course!

Think of a classic Gullwing Mercedes or Porsche 550 Spyder and I'll wager silver with red leather interior comes to mind. Now that's class!

And I'm not even biased (much).

Must admit I had a Carmine Red 911 GTS once and the colour was fantastic especially with black trim

I dunno, it hasn’t seem out of alignment- I did look when I got it as the forum had several people say about this. I will check tomorrow.

Hi all,

Best to try and see the colours in person before your order. I’ve always had a black car for the last 30 years, however on this occasion I saw a Crayon Turbo in the dealership and thought got to have that colour, then I saw Ice Grey Metallic and thought Crayon looked dull by comparison, I think Ice Grey is the best colour but not a fan of black alloys so thought again. Then each colour looks different with different alloys on, I was so confused in the end I went for Black?
In pics below is a comparison of Crayon, Ice grey and white in the same shot (left to right) plus one of the colour and spec I have chosen Black of court. Mine is due end July, can’t wait but was glad that the lock date passed early May as I was changing colour more times than hot dinners. This is the first car ever that I genuinely can’t decide on best colour/wheel combo. Whatever you choose it will look great but when you see a different colour combo you may just think should’ve got that. Make sure you see them in sunshine, and overcast conditions to be sure which colour you want as the light makes a big difference.

My 4CT is scheduled to arrive in August and I had the exact same discussion with my wife. I was leaning Mamba Green, she felt it was too flashy. So we narrowed it to Gentian Blue and Cherry Red. The blue seems a little too “Hot Wheels” in certain light. I ended up selecting Cherry with beige interior. In my mind it’ll be the definition of classy. Here’s a real world pic from one of the online reviews.

Not really as I tend to have it washed. This is it today after two
Weeks without washing - just a bit dusty but still bright red.
