We have a $100 deposit down on an iD4 to use as a beater/commuter car.

Our plan was to wait until electric pickups start rolling off the lines and then also look to replace my wife's truck with one of them. But her truck is currently in the shop with cam phaser issues, so the iD4 might instead turn into an e-tron SUV.

We do need to keep around something that can be flat-towed by our RV, which unfortunately means we can't go 100% EV.

We will probably get a Cadillac Lyriq—our experience with Cadillacs have been great. We‘ve had awful experiences with three European luxury brands but almost every car company builds good stuff these days.

I'll keep the Taycan until I no longer need a sedan because my kids are out of the house or have their own cars in a few years.

At that point, I'll custom build a Mission R.

I'm waiting for the Microlino which will be in production this year (finally).
Only in Switzerland and Germany for the moment but the Netherlands will be next soon (I'll buy from Germany anyway).

This little EV will be my grocery getter cuz sometimes you just don't want to draw attention with a Taycan...?

Here's the link:

Also waiting for an All Electric Escalade/Yukon/Suburban. That will be great for me. Plenty of space for batteries….

Thinking of getting the Rivian R1S as the family SUV. We have an order out for the Model X but it’s $40k more than the Rivian and way uglier. Rivian probably a risk though since it’s a new company.

Genesis GV60. Sort of reminds me of what the Macan EV should look like. The charging network where I live is starting to get good enough to replace my ICE SUV. Or just sell the SUV and trade the T4S for a Taycan CT.

We always have a pickup (my wife hauls crap all the time). So The Rivian is what I am looking at as a possibility when she finally retires the current truck. Made her watch Long Way up series as the Rivian prototypes were in it quite a bit along with the electric Harley's.

These 2 Rivian's first models are really on point if design wise perhaps a personal taste - but I kind of like them. The biggest issue might be no local support (if for example bought in Texas etc.) - relying entirely on OTA access or what? Would be curious to know how they will handle service/support point forward.
