Interesting. I didn't know about the DOT.Porsche doesn't have different markers in the US because they like orange. They're DOT required, so Porsche won't ever be offering them officially, as they technically aren't road legal.
In all my previous Porsche cars the dealership had the clear markers in stock and swapped them out for me upon deliver. But you cannot buy it off the floor with them installed. I always wondered why it was after I bought the car that they would swap them out. Now with the DOT color it makes sense.
