OTA Software Update (July 17, 2023)!

Gotta love our 'new' car world - if in doubt, reboot - systems will evolve some day !

Get a load of this:

My car garage is wide open right now (almost afraid to close it!) - 8:30PM - and outside temp from car 100F and HV battery at 94F - highest I've seen when parked/not recently driven to date!

Another new world but this one may be too late to reboot!

Thanks to all who shared possible issue resolutions for this most recent update, two different error messages initially…then the two finger reboot and the update loaded as designed. Minor hiccup…onward.

They've not been sctewing it up for over a year now with similar big OTA updates to be fair.

What big OTA updates are you referring to? This was the first one my 22 has seen in 18 months.

Yeah, it seems there has been a bunch of small ones but nothing like this one.

Was there a link to a video? If so, please share. I haven not received the email for my MY22 but I do receive updates for maps so maybe I already have OTA update setting turned on?

Log in myporsche.com and on the left are two little green icons and it will tell you if you have OTA turned on.

Someone on FB in Maryland posted the updated today, so maybe it is hitting the US.

I got the update notification but every time I try to apply the update (click on the icon), the option gets greyed out with an error “waiting for background process to complete”. It’s been 2 days and still can’t apply the update.

tried the 2 finger reboot and even left car turned off overnight. Any ideas?

Does anyone yet know what exactly is in this update? Did Porsche publish any release notes? I got mine the other day and I’ll be damned if I can see any differences.

Got the update today. Installed with no issues. Hopefully this how the updates are going forward.

Thank you. Yea I got the update this past Saturday. So OTA updates are working now. Interesting to see how long it has taken Porsche to provide OTA updates.

What big OTA updates are you referring to? This was the first one my 22 has seen in 18 months.

There was a power management update for MY20 / MY21 released in May 2022 cars which required the download, lock and install procedure. I can't remember the package name but a search on the forum will reveal.

Do we need to stay inside the car while update happen? I initiated it or i though about it but when i opened my door PCM turned off

Do i stay inside only while initiates?

Says 7 min update on my car.
