I'd be surprised if there's no wiring overhead. Swapping mirrors at build time is trivial, but installing different wiring harnesses when other stuff needs power makes little sense.

Good point Miwa.
If I'm 1st to pop that apart on mine, I'll share what I see. Thanks.

@Mwa3aan do you by chance have a link to the mirror tap cable you used?

Hi Vim.......did you ever get the 360 + jammers installed?
Curious to see photos and hear how it’s performed for you

Getting the Escort Max 360 CI laser jammer and radar detector installed front and rear with the display in the rear view mirror. I'll post pics when done

It is really amazing. Display shown in mirror and controller is about the size of a flashdrive, dark silver with blue lighting matching the interior and ambient lighting. The mirror display can be dimmed, but I set it to max bright so you can see it.

The system automatically registers all 'false alarms' via GPS so no hitting the button every time it encounters a false signal. Display, sensitivity, bands, laser shifter off timing etc. is all controlled with an app. No problems with the insulated glass, and much cleaner than having a detector sitting on the windshield. The shifters are in the front just behind the spoiler and very hard to see. About the cleanest install you can have, and very close to the top performers in both radar and laser.

Damn, that looks very clean
Are you happy with the position of the remote or would you choose another position after using it?
May I ask ballpark how much this was, product and install?

I wouldn't change a thing. $3,300 for the radar/laser plus install and $800 for the mirror display. The place is Eclipse Window Tinting, and you can call 513-321-8468 and ask for Rick and he can advise you where to go in your area. Fantastic shop, he took me through a number of 'learning curve' issues with the detector and settings, and has always responded immediately to anything I've asked. Pretty incredible reviews as well.

Here's a video of a very impressive installation of a Radenso radar and AL Priority laser system in a Taycan. Love the custom modification to the overhead panel to house the controls. The installer (Automods) is based in Sarasota, Florida, so if this is your car please DM me as I have been thinking about bringing my car to them and want to hear about your experience.

did you ever get them to install this for you? I am in touch with them about this same setup

@kort I have not yet done it. Still on my to-do list. They said they would need my car at least 3-4 days and Sarasota is a few hours drive from my house, so I haven't been able to arrange the logistics to make it work for me yet. But I do plan on doing the install.
