All of these range threads are always lacking key information to make any logic of the data presented.

Ambient temperature is good, but without listing the battery PB or PB+, the version Taycan, and the wheel option (std 19 all season, Mission E summer, etc) the data is like comparing apples and oranges. These variables can change the expected range by 30% alone.
Indeed - tried to suggest setting up a thread with related info but had no bites :)

Here is an example of a report I did for 'real world' (read real world comfort :)) 'consumptive' range in my CT4S with 21" Perf summer tires. As you say, context in respect a wide range of internal -external variable is key!

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/my-real-world-consumptive-test-ct-4s.9096/

I have noticed that my car's 'predicted' ranges have steadily creeped up from ca. 204 new to 240+ miles now after ca. 1400 miles of driving to date with fairly consistent setup being in Normal mode (but ride height at lowest), external temps from 35F-70F (mostly in middle range), climate control on a mix of std. A/C to ECO mode, minimal elevation changes (Houston!) etc. Trip lengths on teh lower side with a few less than 200 mile outings to date (need to work on that!). Equivalent max. Range mode calculations (again predictive not consumptive) now over 250 miles. I regualrly charge to 85% and have only on three occasions charged to 100%.

Given my spec I am actually quite happy with this and suspect with more battery conditioning I might squeeze out some more yet (only once have I dropped to 20% SoC believe it or not - usually above 40%!).

400-410km.
last night, we had +7, car parked outside, under the roof.
MY21, 8000KM, 20”winter tires.
(I drive in Range mode almost all of the time)
Update. 400km was predicted when charged at 100%.
Real life:
I spent 93%, made 316km (28km still available), average consumption 23,8kwh/100km, average speed 56 km/h.

Range is dumb - the only thing people ask me about. You can’t get amazing range with the crazy wide tires on the taycan - think that is that holds it back the most and gives you performance. Put on some bicycle tires and you get range, but trade off is handling. I don’t buy Porsches for range and my 993 gets the same range on a tank of gas, but then it’s 10x cost to fuel.
But you can refill the 993 in 10 minutes. Not so with the Taycan, hence all the discussion about range.

it takes 15-20 mins in the taycan depending on the charger.. for all our daily needs we charge at home, so we charge 0 mins of waiting time. On longer road trips we do charge, but the difference is managable. Also - when we charge we go eat lunch, or go to a store and do other things - pumping gas you just wait around attached to the pump. I think there is a much bigger difference than just time that people obsess about. Also - electricity is 1/10th the cost! and the cost of gas fluctuates. Everytime i have to go to fill up the 993 i think about how nice the taycan is to energize :) [excuse the bias - i love electric cars for how they help move the world forward!]

It seems I’m on the low end of range at 230mi@100% (368km). A bit over 3000mi on the odo and ambient temps in the 50s (10-15C). Mostly hwy cruising at ~80mph and some spirited driving.

Range anxiety was a real thing, but just for the first month of ownership since this was our first EV. I agree, focus on range is dumb. The bit of extra planning to map out chargers for long road trips is really not a big deal.

Recently we had family over for a couple weeks and frequently making day trips with our two vehicles around 180-200mi and I don’t think I checked the range once since we started each day on a full charge. On the other hand, our gas SUV was actually more of a hassle having to stop for gas mid trip or making dedicated trips in the evening to top it off for the next day.

During the winter (0-10C) I manage to get 300-320km range at full charge (Taycan Cross Turismo, R20).

good to know, thanks

then for this thread it just really comes down to the 30 miles of range variation for wheel and tire configuration
Ambient temp - Florida will always score miles over UK / Europe.

Also need to know if AC is active and at what temp, drive mode selected, etc when the readings are taken.

In the end it's a pointless exercise. Charge as you need to and don't worry about it.

Have not tested a full 100% discharge but have seen the expected range climb over time. This is the last charge cycle (CT4):

Mirrors what I have seen when I charge to 90 SOC which is where I normally do when I plug in at night during the week.

Here in the UK, now it's warming up I'm seeing 135/140 miles at 50% so a comfortable 265/275 miles range- my guess is about 285/290 with a full charge in mid-summer (CT4 20" wheels)

I’ll eat my hat if that’s the case!

I once had 280 miles @ 100% before I turned a wheel. That rapidly changed in a few short miles to 250 once the battery temp had settled.

Hopefully I’m wrong but I doubt 290 anywhere in UK. Sadly, the battery range never works out according to the maths.

and i’ll join to your lunch :giggle:
with 20” tires, i was getting up to 410km/100% SoC.
with 21”, up to 380km/100%.

My CT4S is showing more like 210m with a full charge (extrapolating from 85% charge). Generally driven in sport with AC set to about 20 on auto. 20 inch wheels.

You should easily see 230 - 250 tops between now and the height of summer once you've added a few more miles. In the early days I maxed at 225 miles.

In reply guys - no need to eat your hats but I recently (mid-February) drove a regular journey to North Devon (Croyde) distance is 220 miles - I left with 98% charge and drove a mix of mororway and A roads - 2 passengers and luggage - I arrived in Devon with 15% charge left - 98% less 15% residual means I used 83% to do 220 miles in 10 degrees C in February - equates to 265 miles range - car showed 2.7 miles/ kwh - drove most of the way in Range and AC on Eco.
I had set off after an overnight charge so the battery was warm I recall.

"Equates" is the operative word and unless brave enough to run dry you'll never know for sure!

I'm also reasonably sceptical of the merits of Range as I used to use it all the time and now only on occasion as the consumption with alternative routes and driving modes is typically within a % or the same. Originally (before the big recalls) Range was more effective.

In winter I suspect I will revert to using it to reduce the AC heating consumption and less on both motors.

265 is great but apologies if I sound a little cynical.

Since day 1 to now my consumption has been 3.1 miles per kWh (12,000 miles) which suggests 272 miles per 100% charge - I don't trust that number but encouraged none the less.
