So just to update on the drama of my delivery (photo of the car at the dealer in profile pic)

1. Initial Deposit April 2021 - to pre-reserve a slot for the at that time not announced GTS
2. Nov 2021 (ish) GTS announced....soon followed by ST in all variants - confirmed reservation on 4S ST
3. April 2022 - car finally locked in build
4. July 2022 - build completed - stuck in Germany with no Battery
5. Nov 2022 - car finally arrived at dealer - pick up scheduled 1st Dec 2022 @ 5pm
6. 1st Dec 2022 @ 11am call from dealer stating car has failed PDI with a heater issue - part ordered with ETA 7th Dec
7. 8th Dec 2022 - part still not arrived
8. 10th Dec 2022 - Dealer provides me with a Cayenne GTS
9. As of today (13th Dec 2022) - still no word on when the part may arrive

Overall a total and utter mess, but I am enjoying the Cayenne GTS V8 4.0 litre....one last blast in an ICE car with an amazing exhaust sound and some nice options. Ractex steering wheel is very comfortable and particularly liking the HUD....wishing I had added that to my Taycan build now!

Who knows when I will actually get my car....

Hi. Hope you get your car soon.

My timeline is near identical! I also received email from dealer on 2.12.22 (not call) that my Taycan GTS had failed its PDI with heated issue. I was due to collect on 4.12.22.

I’ve had no further update and no idea when I will be collecting the car.

I’ve already paid for the car, started my car insurance, paid for tracker subscription etc.

I’m speaking with dealer and Porsche UK this week as it’s becoming an untenable state of events.

Moreover, the dealer registered the car on 2.12.22 meaning that if I receive it in Jan or Feb 2023, I have been deprived of the higher used car value of a 23 reg car.

I'd be really annoyed they had registered the car before delivery and i had to pay costs - have they given you a loan car ?

Hi. No loan car yet. I’ve asked for one from 2 Jan 2023. But all in all, not good.

Yup ditto with me, majorly peeved off that they took the payment, registered the car and then found the PDI issue. They should have found that out before asking for payment, encouraging me to activate the tracking package and arrange insurance.

I read somewhere else on the forum that apparently the heater part is on a 5-6 week backlog...they had stated to me it would be 1 week max.

I feel a bit better with the loan car...but still very disappointed in the whole process.

And this week there has been no updates at all...I would expect at least an email/text updating the current status.

We’re in same position! Be good to chat as I’m taking to dealer about how to compensate and what your experience has been / what your dealer might be offering

Thanks for posting this. I've just had notification that my GTS is at Emden so its good to know it should be in the UK within a week or so. I'm due to take delivery in January, so that looks good according to this schedule

Guys I ordered last November and still no build slot!!

Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.

I’ve been on to Porsche but they don’t seem interested merely saying no more builds this year and check back next year?

TIA

JM
Why model did you order?

Many of us ordered in November and some of those orders have started to trickle through.. However, demand is high and supply is low.

Cars delivered after 1 March 2023 would be 23 reg cars. A Car delivered in January or February would be the same as a December 2022 car, namely a 72 plate.

Whilst there may be some additional 'value' between a 72 plate and a 23 plate, there is basically zero difference between a December 2022 plate and a February 2023 plate.

According to a number of very reputable car valuing companies, I’m told the difference is £700-£1000 depending on model and options. That’s for a 72 reg Jan or Feb 2023 car over a car registered between Sept-Dec 2022.

Another update from my SA. Damage was just the front splitter lip which was cracked and scratched so assume it happed getting loaded on the truck (wouldn't it be great it the car had a lift feature for the fro....oh wait!).

They have the part in stock but need to get it painted gloss black before fitting. Hoping the paint shop is good and quick.

Ok, fair enough. I'm very surprised.
