Does this trick for maximizing battery charge range actually work? ?

I also get above 310mls for 100%. Not a problem.
What the car shows is based on last consumption, so if you use Range, you get those #s
it is speed and weather dependent. if you drive a consistent 50 mph you could achieve these numbers, I don't care so much about extending range on around town drives and when road tripping I just need enough to make it to the next charger.

the other day I started a trip @100% SOC with the meter showing about 224 miles. after driving about 15 miles the meter showed 232 miles.
take away what you want from that
Porsche being awesome vs. Tesla inflating numbers. I NEVER got the rated range in my 2020 Model 3.

This is one of the more stupid posts in a long time.
Charging to 100% every day will *increase* range?

Driving style increases, or decreases range. Guestimation is based on driving history. Not charging history. Add ambient temperature and that's pretty much it.

I'd love to have 500km+ in range.
But I am fortunate both with fantastic roads, an accepting wife, a heavy right foot and good driving skills.

This range is not so impossible. I do suspect he has 19” wheels or at most 20”. Bjorne Nyland (aka Tesla Bjorn) achieved 580km on a full charge of a Taycan 4S at 90kph.

I suspect that the owner also had good weather and mostly flat roads.

I can't wait to test my RWD range. Smooth flat S. Florida roads and warm temps.

You will probably have to wait for 500 miles or so until the brakes are bedded and the regen system kicks in for the car to reach its full range potential.

if you want to drive long distances @ 55 mph, sure that level of range is obtainable, but then the question is, why did you buy a porsche?
Most routes for driving in the US are fairly well covered by EA and other charging networks. As long as you plan your charging stops range really is a non issue. just drive the car and charge as necessary

Copy that. I'm not planning any hypermiling in the first month or so anyhow. Enjoying it with a heavy foot! ?

504 km is 313 miles at 100% SoC. This guy seems to live in Greece, so it reasonable to assume that the weather is rather warm and consumption is therefore optimal. Although 313 miles is high, it seems within the normal reach of a gently driven Taycan at ideal weather. I therefore doubt that the charging pattern has anything to do with it. Do you know whether this is a 4S or a RWD, or even a Turbo?
What is interesting in all this range anxiety is that in the USA drivers average about 30 miles of driving a day. So why worry?

You are right: on 95% of all days it does not matter. One the occasional day with a road trip ahead, it does matter, particularly during a cold winter when range is thermally depressed.
